Are you a podiatrist looking to join a High Risk Foot Service? We have a 0.8EFT (4 days per week) new graduate position available at Monash Health in our NADC-accredited High Risk Foot Service. This position also has the opportunity for quality improvement activities, research opportunity and participation in the Endorsement of Schedulded Medicines Program.
Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialities. Monash Health High Risk Foot Service provides best practice inpatient and outpatient care for patients with diabetes and complex limb threatening complications. The aim of the service is to provide evidence based, best practice care to patients with complex diabetes related (and other high risk) foot complications with a focus on reducing hospital admissions, minimising length of stay and reducing the rates of major amputation. The service in jointly run by Podiatry, Vascular (including Interventional Radiology), Diabetes with input from Infectious Diseases and Orthopaedics.
In 2020, Monash Health was awarded with a National Association Diabetes Centres High Risk Foot Service Centre of Excellence.
About the Role
We are excited to announce a New Graduate (Grade 1 ) position has become available within our bed-based High Risk Foot services providing care to outpatients, acute and subacute inpatients. You will be joining a high functioning service and be a valuable member of the multidisciplinary high risk foot team.
This is a fixed term, part time position, working across all campuses within the organisation as required.
About You
As the successful candidate(s) you will be responsible for providing best practice care to inpatient and outpatient high risk foot services in the hospital setting. You will have graduated in the last 12 months and have a keen interest in working in the area of High Risk Foot, be motivated to succeed and an excellent team player. As part of the podiatry department and a larger multidisciplinary team you will be working towards having a high level communication skills and the current Diabetic Foot guidelines and best practice care.
