Our Journey:

Monash Health have several positions available for Grade 2 Nuclear Medicine Technologists, in full and part-time capacities.

The successful applicants will be required to work at MMC Clayton, Moorabbin Hospital, Dandenong Hospital & Casey Hospital.

Duties include the ability to provide diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) in a professional and timely manner.

A Day in the Life:

Across our Nuclear Medicine Network the successful candidate will be required to:

  • Performing a large variety of Nuclear Medicine and PET procedures, both diagnostic and therapeutic
  • Ordering of radiopharmaceuticals and consumables
  • Radiopharmaceutical preparation
  • Participate in the on-call roster

We are a network consisting of 4 sites across Monash Health. We offer a wide variety of Nuclear Medicine and PET services to the community, including hot and cold lab, in and outpatient radionuclide therapies, paediatric imaging and clinical research. 

About You:

The successful candidate will need the following skills:

  • Ability to work in a team and solo
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated
  • Strong interpersonal skill within the team environment and in providing patient centered care
  • Strong CPD ethic eg Regular attendance at relevant post-graduate seminars
  • Be well read in the appropriate texts and journals

What you need:

  • Completion of an approved tertiary diploma or degree or graduate diploma course in Nuclear Medicine Technology (or equivalent)
  • Registered to practice in Australia- Australian Health Practitioner regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Holder of Victorian Department of Human Services “Use Licence” – as per Radiation Act 2005
  • Accredited (or eligible for accreditation) with Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine (ANZSNM)
