About the role

As a Nurse Unit Manager, you would have the chance to contribute their clinical expertise while also taking on leadership responsibilities within the healthcare setting. This role involves overseeing our Emergency Department within a healthcare facility, managing staff, ensuring quality patient care, and collaborating with other members of the management team to meet organisational goals. It's a great chance for someone with strong nursing skills and leadership potential to make a significant impact on both patient care and staff development.

This is a permanent full-time on-going position based in Horsham, Victoria.

Skills and experience

  • Hold a post graduate qualification in Emergency or other critical care nursing area.
  • Post graduate qualifications (or working towards same) in management or clinical redesign or equivalent.
  • 2 years or more of leadership and people management experience
  • Have a broad understanding of the legal and ethical frameworks within which the Emergency Department operates.
  • Knowledge of improvement science, project management or similar change methodology
  • Models, coaches, and promotes values-based leadership.
  • Ability to implement new models of care, lead and support change and develop a dynamic and cohesive team culture across all disciplines.
