Position details:

The role of the Nurse Unit Manager- Specialised Dementia Care Program is to work with the Director of Nursing Gibson Street Group (DON) to deliver care services in the Specialist Dementia Care Program (SDCP) funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care. The SDCP unit and program offers temporary care with a goal to stabilise and reduce a person’s behavioural symptoms with a planned supported transition into a less intensive care setting once behaviour has stabilised.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Take management responsibility for the SDCP unit, providing clinical leadership, staff support, quality care, reporting, rostering, performance management, and ensuring compliance with Aged Care standards, while promoting resident rehabilitation and dignity in a person-centered environment.
