About the role

As an Occupation Therapist - Grade 2 you will have experience and knowledge in the provision of occupational therapy services in an acute setting. You will undertake clinical occupational therapy services in the acute services whilst also providing mentoring and clinical education of undergraduate students.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment and interventions.
  • Ensure the smooth transition of clients through the health care system.
  • Active participation in strategic planning, staff meetings and service development.
  • Participate in discussion pertaining to resource allocation, equipment purchasing and revenue generation.
  • Ensure the ongoing ability to provide clinical excellence.

Skills and experience

You will have:

  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the AHPRA.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in assessment, treatment and management options for patients.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and actively participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Ability to cooperate and work well with others in the pursuit of team goals.
  • Empathy and client centred focus
