Position Title: Occupational Therapist – Grade 2 (Year 1 to Year 4)

Classification: VF6 – VF9

Salary per hour:  $44.77 to $51.46 + superannuation + generous salary packaging options

Employment Type: Ongoing part-time 48 hours per fortnight

Award: Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise agreement 2021-2026


Role description

We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team.

As an Occupational Therapist at Dhelkaya Health you will be responsible for delivering high quality person-centred occupational therapy interventions. This will involve home, hospital or centre based service delivery, delivering assessment and appropriate treatment to clients.

This role will be largely based in the Ambulatory Care outpatient department. The department includes a wide range of outpatient therapy services, including neurological, musculoskeletal, falls and balance and hand therapy. This position t may also be required to provide services to our inpatient and residential aged care facilities (located across 2 campuses).

This role works in close collaboration with a range of health professionals and other community-based service providers to deliver the best outcomes for the client, their family and carers. The Grade 2 OT also provides supervision to grade 1 OTs, AHAs and students as required.


About you

  • Tertiary qualification (Bachelor/Masters) in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Experience working across a range of OT clinical areas, particularly with older people
  • Demonstrates understanding of how functional abilities and participation is impacted by chronic disease, ageing and cognitive, intellectual or physical disability
