About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Clinician Occupational Therapist with a passion and specialist interest in acute services to provide excellence in stream leadership, patient-centred care, and to contribute to the ongoing development of our inter-professional, team-focused service model to support the ongoing delivery of high-quality clinical service. You will work collaboratively with inclusive and passionate occupational therapy and allied health staff to provide excellent, evidence-based care for patients and their families/carers.

About You

As a clinical expert in acute occupational therapy across medical and surgical services, your advice and guidance will be sought after. Your participation in a rich diversity of experiences and opportunities including involvement in research and quality assurance activities will be valued. You will be responsible for the providing clinical and professional leadership to our Acute Medical & Surgical Stream and the wider Occupational Therapy service. You will have the opportunity to work alongside other experienced and team-focused Senior Clinicians as part of the Occupational therapy senior leadership group.

What you need:

  • Experience in providing a high quality clinical service to patients in the acute setting;

  • Passion for enhancing patient experiences and facilitation of occupational performance;

  • Demonstrated skill in teaching, supervision and promoting the growth and development of staff; 

  • An aptitude for ongoing learning and personal professional development; 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; 

  • A keen interest in evidence-based practice, clinical inquiry, research and service improvement.  

Eligibility for membership of relevant professional association and current Occupational Therapy AHPRA registration are requirement for this role.
