An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Social Worker Grade 2, to join our team on the Psychiatric Assessment and Planning Unit ( PAPU).

The Psychiatric Assessment and Planning Unit is a purpose built four bed unit co located with in the Austin Short Stay Unit. We provde short term care and support for up to 72 hours, as an alternative to longer psychiatric admissions.

The unit comprises of 2 nursing staff on rotation per shift, a Consultant Psyciatrist, a Psychiatric registar and the Nurse Unit Manager. The Allied health Social worker will provide support on the Unit during business hours from Monday to Friday.
