About the role


The role of Patient Care Assistant - Patient Observer is to support the nursing team to deliver safe patient care of the highest quality. As a Patient Care Assistant - Patient Observer at Eastern Health, you will have the opportunity to experience working across a wide variety of specialty and general areas, including: emergency, mental health, neurology, renal, and oncology. You will be supported at all times by the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse.


About you 


To be successful in this role you will possess:



  • Previous experience working in an acute hospital setting will be highly regarded

  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Acute) or equivalent training as part of a Bachelor of Nursing degree

  • Computer skills

  • A strong commitment to high quality care

  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
