Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health's Mental Health Division incorporates a number of specialities and services across community and bed-based services, with inpatient beds located on all three campuses.  The Division provides catchment-based area mental health services, in addition to a number of regional and statewide specialty services.

HOPE - PEER WORKER CONSUMER SUPPORT

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Peer Support Worker to join our Hospital Outreach Post-suicidal Engagement (HOPE) initiative on a permanent, part time basis.

The successful applicant will have lived experience as a first-hand user of public mental health services.  The role provides

one to one peer support to consumers following engagement with the HOPE initiative, using personal lived experience to provide a model of hope and recovery, including direct and over the phone support.
