Personal Care Worker
Central Allocations Unit – Casual Bank
IN38-IN39
About the role
The Central Allocations Unit is seeking applications from certificate qualified Personal Care Workers to work across Aged Care, Sub-Acute and Acute. Grampians Health has nine Care Communities (Jack Lonsdale Lodge, James Thomas Court, Eureka Village Hostel, Geoffrey Cutter Centre, WB Messer, PS Hobson, Hailey House, Talbot Place and Bill Crawford Lodge). Successful applicants will predominantly work in our Care Community setting.
To maintain your position within the Central Allocations Unit, a commitment of four shifts per fortnight is expected. Our casual bank, overseen by the Central Allocations Unit operating seven days a week, utilises an electronic rostering system to match staff with shifts based on their availability, communicated via text or phone call.
Applicants are required to submit a copy of their Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) and transcript with their application. If the Assist Clients With Medication Unit has not been completed, candidates must be willing to undertake the Grampians Health Medication Administration Skills Check Certificate.
As part of the application process, two referees are necessary: one being the current Manager/Nurse Unit Manager and the other a different manager/supervisor. Newly qualified individuals can provide references from their placement manager/course coordinator and a manager from a current or recent employer.
Given the potential for short-notice shifts, candidates must reside in the Ballarat region to be considered for this role. Join us in providing compassionate care and support to our community across diverse healthcare settings.
