This is an exciting opportunity to join the Pharmacy Department at Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg.  Mercy Health is committed to ensuring high quality, evidence-based, person-centred, safe and effective patient care.  This position will be integral in delivering clinical pharmacy services to our patients and working as part of a multidisciplinary member of the health care team.

Employment Type - Fulltime, Permanent

  • Classification – Pharmacy Technician Grade 2 or 3 (depending on experience)
  • Pharmacy technician required to provide patient focused quality pharmaceutical service at Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg
  • Inventory and procurement management: medication purchasing/distribution to pharmacy and ward imprest, dispensing and extemporaneous manufacturing.
  • Processing of PBS Medicare claim

  • Certificate III/IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support (Equivalent, or eligible to be enrolled).
  • Sound communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Proficient IT skills (Prior Merlin software knowledge desirable).
