Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Neurological Team is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our dynamic service as a Senior Clinician.

In addition to ensuring that the neurological physiotherapy team delivers excellence in rehabilitation, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to lead the physiotherapy team during an early supported discharge trial. They will also be pivotal in continuing to adapt the service to the needs of the organisation during COVID-19.

The Senior Clinician PT Neurology will work collaboratively with the broader healthcare team to deliver holistic and coordinated multidisciplinary care to the people of the Western Suburbs.

Western Health is rapidly expanding health service which has a strong focus on building a high performance workforce. The successful candidate will be well supported through supervision and education to provide clinical leadership within the CBR and physiotherapy service, to manage service portfolios and become involved in our physiotherapy teaching program. This is a full-time, permanent role.

To be Successful in this Role you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in assessing and managing clients with neurological conditions

  • Excellent clinical and organisation skills

  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams

  • Experience in supervising physiotherapy staff,  Allied Health Assistants or physiotherapy students

  • Experience in quality improvement and/or research

  • Experience or ability to deliver patient care using innovative methodologies in a dynamic environment
