The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation was created by the Victorian Parliament under the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation Act 2011 specifically to address the challenge of gambling harm in the Victorian community.
Our purpose is to prevent and reduce gambling harm for all Victorians. Our role is to fund research and other activities that add to the knowledge and understanding of gambling harm; to work in partnership with others to offer evidence-based prevention programs and support services to those affected by gambling harm; and to deliver communication campaigns that inform and influence gambling-related attitudes and behaviours.
Gambling harm affects individuals, families, communities and populations. Accordingly, we take a public health approach to harm, which comprises evidence-based awareness, prevention, early intervention, education, and treatment and support programs. Our strategic priorities are to:
About the role
The Planning and Reporting Officer position sits within the Office of the CEO of the Foundation. The Office of the CEO supports the chief executive officer by providing strategic advice, executive assistance, and project management across key functions, including policy and advocacy, stakeholder engagement, internal communication and issues management.
About you
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has demonstrated experience in reporting, planning and/or strategy management. Good knowledge of a public health approach to gambling harm is desirable, an understanding of how the government works is desirable but not essential.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to convey and obtain information, insights, and ideas; able to use conceptual and analytical skills to develop solutions to problems and is able to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
Qualifications in public health, social sciences or other related fields would be highly desirable.
