The Information Management and Technology Division provides innovation and leadership in the transformation and management of the Department's digital capability through the implementation of solutions on the department's cloud environment (IaaS), enterprise cloud platforms (PaaS) and software (SaaS), using agile practices with a focus on user experience, security and integration.

About the opportunity

The Information Management and Technology Division provids support and continuous service improvements in areas of administration, operational and technical support for the Departments Unified Messaging service, eduMail.

With your current Microsoft messaging experience, you will be responsible for the day-to-day support of over 110,000 Microsoft Exchange mailboxes and Skype telephony environment along with the account provisioning, update and termination of accounts with associated Active Directory roles and responsibilities. You will also assist with and ensure that messaging hygiene across the enviroment is maintained, security controls are implemented mitigating risk to the Department.

You will participate in and support continous improvements and efficiences though the use of automation and scripting technologies. Ideally you will have solid Powershell scripting skills that will assist with the automation of processes.

A friendly and service oriented demeanour with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the successful candidate will be working with various internal and external stakeholders.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • ITIL in Information TechnologyUndertake technical investigations and provide recommendations as SME for nominated systems
  • Identifies processes, tasks and resources required to achieve a goal
  • Develops and implements systems and procedures to guide work and track progress
  • Manage and provide technical and operational support as an SME for eduMail service.
  • Undertake periodical analysis and reporting of unified messaging service
  • Uses analytical and conceptual skills to reason through problems
  • Assess current operational activities and identify innovative ways to streamlining manual activities and offering service improvements.
