About the Opportunity

The Precincts Transport Advisor is your opportunity to help shape the future transport systems for precincts in Victoria.

Joining the newly created Precincts Transport Advice team your role works closely with the other teams in the Integrated Transport Division, the DoT Regions, across the transport portfolio and with other government Departments and Agencies.

Interfacing with transport and land use planners at a state and local level, you will enjoy a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture, where your robust transport planning advice ensures the transport system supports Government intentions for local and priority precincts, achieving integrated transport and land use outcomes.

In this ongoing position you can access flexible work arrangements while developing professionally with a high-performance team of subject matter experts.

 

About You

You will work closely with a wide range of internal stakeholder and government agencies, requiring a combination of technical transport planning and engineering skills accompanied by strong communication and relationship building, with an appreciation for the intersect between transport and land use planning.

The keys to success in this position include:

  • Mandatory qualifications in civil engineering or equivalent engineering degree
  • Strategic thinking and planning, using a ‘big picture' mindset to develop a vision for the future and turn strategy into actions
  • Project Management experience working on aspects of the built environment and transport projects, across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to deal with complexity and present creative ideas that link to innovations
