POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Principle Project Manager you will be responsible for the management and implementation of Capital Projects. You will confidently represent the Department negotiating with contractors, as well as resolving complex issues with stakeholders. Through leadership you will develop a multi-disciplinary team to achieve high performance and project excellence.

  • Managing client relationships
  • Consultant and contractor procurement
  • Manage project budget, delivery and performance reporting
  • Monitor cash flow and forecasting
  • Deliver projects to scope, on time, and on budget

This role is responsible for the seamless integration of project requirements including: engineering, cost, constructability, land planning and environment, communications and stakeholder relations.

What you will need to be successful

You will be a strong negotiator with expertise to drive best practice in the delivery of public sector capital projects. Ideally you will have experience in the planning and development of health infrastructure projects, within a government setting.

  • Planning and development of health infrastructure project
  • Team player focused on to delivering outcomes
  • Knowledge of the Victorian healthcare system
  • Ability to develop strong stakeholder engagement
  • Experience in providing authoritative quality advice

Tertiary qualification in architecture, building, engineering is desirable.
