About the role: 

The Principal Project Managers oversee and manage a range of multi-disciplinary consultancies involved in design, documentation, and project delivery. The role involves management of project delivery, including procurement processes, budget and cash flow management, reporting and risk management.
Reporting to the Senior Principal Project Manager, Health Technology Services, this role is key to the deployment of projects that support systems and services provided to the Victorian Public Health Sector.
The focus area for this role is the Finance & Materials Information System (FMIS). FMIS is used by health services to automate business processes and is delivered using Oracle's E-Business suite. It supports:


Finance - General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Cash Management, Cash Receipting, Fixed Assets
Procurement - Purchasing and iProcurement
Supply Chain - Order Management, Inventory Management
Business Intelligence – Oracle Analytics Cloud Service
Integration with warehouse robotics - Oracle Integration Cloud

How you'll make a difference:

  • Managing & Overseeing the full life cycle of projects to meet objectives
  • Providing clear communication & regular status updates to stakeholders to keep all parties well informed of status of the projects
  • Assisting in providing advice to stakeholders and the preparation and presentation of reports, memorandums, ministerial briefs and agency submissions on a range of matters
  • Working with multiple internal & external stakeholders to establish and build strong relationships
  • Contributing to the management of vendor contracts, ensuring outcomes and deliverables are met
  • Documenting procedures and processes to support the operations of Health Technology Services as required
  • Overseeing, monitoring, or delivering projects to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines

Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Great attention to details and ability to resourcefully work with deadlines and commitments
  • Knowledge & experience in government procurement, finance and contract management procedures and processes
  • Knowledge & experience in the delivery of a program of works including infrastructure and applications within a complex ICT environment to business users
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects within resourcing, timeline, and budget parameters
