Our school combines both Primary, Prep to Year 6 and Special Education provision from Prep to Year 12 under a single governance model. Our inclusive model and flexible approach to curriculum provision allows each learner to access the educational support and experiences they require based on identified need, individual student ability and assessed benefit. It enables a customised approach to education rather than a 'one size fits all'.

In 2024 we will commence the year with 815 students. This comprises of 743 primary aged students and a further 72 secondary students. At a primary level our 35 homegroups are divided up to operate as single year level professional learning communities and at a secondary level we operate with 7 homegroups, including a stand-alone Year 9 program which commences in 2024. PLCs are led by a PLC leader at each year level and apply a data-based problem solving structure to weekly meetings to help inform the provision of multi-tiered systems of support for all students. Our education support team members, both administrative and classroom based, are an integral part of our daily operations. Our specialist subject offering is diverse and allows for students to participate in PE, Performing Arts, Auslan, and Visual Art.

Our overall staffing profile includes the Principal, 3.0 (EFT) Assistant Principals, 5 Leading Teachers. 52 (FTE) teachers, 30 (FTE) Education Support Staff - Classroom and 6.0 (FTE) Education Support Staff - Administration, a Social Worker and a Speech Pathologist and an IT manager. As a Public Private Partnership school we work in collaboration with Downer and their staff to manage building, grounds and maintenance.

Armstrong Creek School serves the local community as its neighbourhood primary school. It also operates as a specialist setting (P - 12) for students with a mild intellectual disability. All students learn together in the primary years with our secondary school serving as a specialist education facility. In 2024 there are approximately 115 students enrolled under the specialist provision and a further 700 local primary school students also enrolled. The SFOE index in 2024 is 0.3603 (Low-Medium) 13% of students have English as an additional language and 3% are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

The school also has a Community Hub which is managed by the YMCA out of school hours to provide before/ after school care, holiday programs and other community programs that can be accessed by local families and residents.
