What You Will Be Doing

Community Health operates from a social model of health, recognising and addressing social determinants of health. The Program Manager provides leadership and operational management to the Community Health Counselling Program, Forensic Mental Health and Drink Drug Drive Behaviour Change Program . These programs offer individual and groups therapies to enable people to make positive changes in their lives.

The Program Manager will provide effective leadership of these teams and operationally manage the programs to ensure that targets, services and budgetary deliverables are met, and that programs provide high quality services to our community.
Key Responsibilities include:

•Provision of professional support, supervision and line management to direct reports and ensure that a supportive and accountable culture is embedded throughout the program areas.

•Provide governance and operational managemen for the Counselling, Forensic Mental Health and Drink Drug Drive behaviour Change program and proactively manage and mitigate risks associated with service delivery.

•Ensure that the quality of services delivered by the Programs meet required funding and accreditation standards and operate within current regulatory frameworks, service agreements and clinical guidelines.

•Prepare, develop and monitor budgets to achieve budget targets.
•Maintain strong networks and collaborative partnerships within and across relevant sectors to improve service system integration, client outcomes and population health outcomes. This includes Peninsula Health as well as funding bodies.

•Identify and pursue funding opportunities to further develop services and initiatives to meet identified community needs and address service gaps.

•Contribute to the strategic development of Community health as a member of the senior Community Health management team
