About the role

In this role, you will play a key role protecting the natural assets of the Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park. You will deliver predator control at landscape scale to improve conservation outcomes, namely the Grampians Ark project, focussing principally on landscape scale control of foxes and feral cats. You will be responsible for baiting, trapping, shooting and fumigation; collecting monitoring data for reporting and to evaluate effectiveness; developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with stakeholders; ensuing safety and compliance with regulations associated with use of firearms and poisons; and preparation of reports.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience in the environmental/natural resource management sector
  • Experience in invasive species management, in particular predator control including monitoring of results
  • Skills in project management and operational delivery of projects
  • Demonstrated ability working with stakeholders to develop effective partnerships
