Project Manager, Learning and Development Technologies

  • $99,872 - $120,838 (Plus Superannuation)

The position of Project Manager, Learning and Development Technologies forms a part of the People and Culture branch of the Corporate Services group.

Reporting to Director, Organisational Development, Culture and Strategy, this role will join the team at an exciting time, providing subject matter expertise in the selection and implementation of a new performance development platform and significant upgrade to our learning platform (Moodle Totara). This role will also provide key advice to setting up template responses to Helpdesk queries, whilst providing level 1 support. 

The successful applicant will demonstrate experience in technology implementations and system upgrades, preferably with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). You will understand key phases of project delivery including system blueprints, integration with payroll/ AD, user provisioning, SSO, UX features, security, UAT and change management for a successful go live. You will also be able to work with diverse stakeholders and have an all-round can-do attitude in a fast-paced and complex environment. Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Chris21 and Moodle Totara would be an advantage, but key is your ability to work in a team to deliver great project outcomes. 

The key accountabilities for the role will include:

  • Responisble for the management and functionality of learning and performance appraisal technologies, including:
    • project managing the implementation of system enhancements and system upgrades, including UAT testing, with HR systems and Payroll functions
    • evaluating potential technology solutions for adoption and managing the retirement of legacy systems
    • day to day operational and ongoing maintenance of the exisitng LMS to ensure stability of the platform
    • System reporting and exporting of data to relevant internal and external platforms
    • Technical support and Level 2 troubleshooting advice to resolve issues with escalation  to the system vendor, when required.
  • Design and lead the education and upskilling of capabilities for internal stakeholders to enable the business to self-manage specific learning solutions for their staff.
  • Initiate research, undertake environmental scanning, analysis of data and information to identify, pilot, implement, evaluate and promote new innovative products using learning technologies to support the department's strategic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the department to assist, support and contribute to delivery of integrated learning solutions and effective outcomes for the department using learning technology, including useability and assessibility standards.
  • Support vendor contract management, including reporting on expenditure and budget.
