An exciting opportunity for multiple Project Officer roles within Development Assessments Unit, EPA Victoria

  • 4-month Fixed-term roles, 3 positions available through until the end of September 2020.
  • Full-time positions, but part-time applicants may be accommodated.
  • An immediate start is possible.
  • Great time to get involved in permissions ahead of a new EP Act and regulatory regime!

 A Project Officer within DAU at EPA will:

  • Manage multiple permission applications across a range of industry sectors
  • Coordinate input on applications from across EPA and from external sources (applicant, community, referral agencies)
  • Make timely decisions under the EP Act and regulations, and plan appropriate communications for each decision 

About You:

To be successful in this role you will possess /demonstrate:

  • Project/Application management capability
  • Internal and External communications capability
  • Environmental and human health risk assessment, and regulatory decision making
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once, and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly, and assist the team in operating under the new EP Act and regulations
