  • Location: Negotiable, VIC Exciting opportunity to join a small yet dynamic team providing executive support to the Executive Director – Forest and Fire Operations.

The Project Officer is part of a small team providing executive support for the Executive Director Forest and Fire Operations/ Chief Fire Officer. The role is responsible for leading the design and coordination of digital engagement activities for the Chief Fire Officer, including meaningfully engaging with external and internal partners and stakeholders.

The Project Officer provides expertise on strategies and plans to engage effectively with stakeholders so that the role of the Chief Fire Officer can manage relationships and achieve its objectives. The Project Officer will play a key role in the planning, coordination and delivery of communications and stakeholder engagement as part of the Forest and Fire Operations Division.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and thrive working as part of a high-performing team. You will be self-starting, demonstrate initiative, enjoy learning new things and taking on new challenges, and can form and maintain positive working relationships across the department and with key stakeholders.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Expertise in stakeholder engagement theory and practice
  • Expertise in the use of Adobe Creative Cloud.

This is a fixed term position until 31 January 2022.
