What's the role?

The Project Officer is part of the Human Resources team that works primarily with Financial Audit and the wider VAGO business to support and lead various projects in line with VAGO’s strategic agenda. Working specifically in the high performing Projects team and reporting to the Senior Manager, Transformation, you will:  

  • Contribute to and execute the Sourcing Our Learning and Development plan for Financial Audit, ensuring stakeholders are informed of upcoming milestones and delivery deadlines.  
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Manager to deliver our Strategic Sourcing initiatives project for Financial Audit.  
  • Actively participate in project and business meetings, presenting information as required.  
  • Research and identify best practice approaches to talent initiatives for the project to implement.  
  • Support with reporting on project deliverables and providing status updates. 
  • Draft and produce communications to FA and VAGO on Project updates and deliverables. 

Who we're looking for

This is a fixed-term opportunity, commencing ASAP and ending on 30 June 2025, ideal for someone who is highly organised with a curious mindset, always asking "why" and seeking context to navigate diverse situations. The role requires a commitment to personal learning and growth, as well as to the development of others. As the position sits within the Human Resouces team, maintaining confidentiality is essential.  

Previous Experience:  

  • Exposure and/or experience working on projects, either traditional or audit delivery. 
  • Solid understanding of Financial Audit ways of working and methodology. 
  • Exposure in a Human Resources or Learning & Development experience would be ideal but not mandatory.
