Working within the Development, Marketing and Communications team, this position will manage projects within the team, including all project activities such as planning and reporting, monitoring processes and budgets and providing research to support these projects and other initiatives. The Project Officer also provides administrative support Royal Botanic Gardens Foundation Board by preparing agendas and minutes, collating meeting papers and pack and managing the meeting room set up and catering. They also act the day-to-day point of contact for the Chairman and the Board Members for all Foundation matters. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a unique and iconic environment and in a small but supportive team.

About the Role

The Project Officer also provides administrative support Royal Botanic Gardens Foundation Board by preparing agendas and minutes, collating meeting papers and pack and managing the meeting room set up and catering. They also act the day-to-day point of contact for the Chairman and the Board Members for all Foundation matters.

This position would suit someone who is highly organised, can develop strong professional working relationships with excellent research and project management skills.

Key Selection Criteria

To be considered for this position you will have the following:

A relevant tertiary qualification, such as Marketing or similar.

Three+ years of project coordination experience

Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, with particular effectiveness in use of PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel, MS Project or similar

Experience in representing the organisation in an outward-facing capacity (e.g. with Boards, at functions, major events etc)

Demonstrated experience in managing the changing priorities and deadlines of multiple projects

Sound understanding and experience of the operation of volunteer or other Boards, with related knowledge of formal processes and governance requirements

Knowledge of plants, sustainability, conservation, humanities or culture is desirable
