About the Role:

 

An exciting opportunity is available for a highly skilled and motivated Psychologist (Grade 3) to join our team in the Royal Children's Hospital’s, Children's Pain Management Service. This is a Permanent Part Time position at 0.6 FTE (working Tues, Weds, Thurs).

  

You will work as part of a highly supportive multidisciplinary team to deliver psychology services to children and adolescents with persistent pain, including conditions such as: CRPS, headaches and musculoskeletal pain. These services are provided on an outpatient basis with the primary objective to return patients to their normal level of functioning. You will be able to utilise the hospital's excellent facilities to provide high quality care to our patients. Training will be provided with plenty of opportunities to upskill in a variety of areas in pain management.

  

Our clinic runs on a hybrid model with both face to face and telehealth appointments.

 

Your skills and experience: 

 

  • Postgraduate training in Clinical or Health Psychology
  • Registration with AHPRA and the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) with endorsement in practice of Clinical or Health Psychology
  • Extensive experience in chronic pain management
