The Role:

The successful applicant will be a Clinical or Health Psychologist who will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver psychological services to children and adolescents with persistent pain, and their families.  These services are provided largely on an outpatient basis, although on some occasions, some patients are treated as inpatients.  The primary objective is to return patients to their normal level of functioning. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Paediatric and/or pain management experience

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Commitment to research and quality assurance and be able to assist with education and the development of resource materials for staff, patients and families about all aspects of the assessment and management of childhood pain.
