About the role and your responsibilities:  

As the Regional Program Coordinator, you will provide advice to and be supported by the Regional and District teams and will lead planning tasks, delivery of the program and project management with a specific focus on deer and introduced large herbivore control. 

In this exciting new role you will work with a network of regional and corporate deer control leads and coordinators to deliver the Victorian Deer Control Strategy. The position will support the Department of Environment, Land Water and Planning in implementation of the Deer Control Strategy including providing planning, consultation and project delivery support. You will also nurture effective and respectful internal and external relationships in the delivery of programs and projects.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience in Project Management and multiple portfolio management
  • Experience in developing and implementing action plans preferably relating to invasive species control
  • The ability to nurture positive stakeholder management and engagement
  • A current employee Working with Children Check before commencing employment with us

About the branch:

The Operations Division is responsible for planning and the service delivery of initiatives, programs and services. On-ground works and services will conserve environments, protect culture and heritage, manage visitor facilities and improve opportunities and support fire and emergency management.

Each region consists of a diverse range of parks and reserves.  Staff working within the Region are responsible for providing efficient and effective implementation of a broad range of often complex park management functions including natural, cultural and built asset management, visitor management and services, stakeholder management, park planning and emergency response.
