About our Haemodialysis Services, Clayton


Our Haemodialysis Unit is located in level 3 near ward 34 at Monash Medical Centre and we are an acute dialysis unit comprised of 14 chairs, along with the ability to dialyse patients on the renal ward and everywhere around the hospital utilising our acute dialysis equipment.


About the Role


We are currently looking for Registered Nurses who want to experience Haemodialysis in a fixed Term Capacity.


Long service leave position from April 2020 until July 2020


This position opens a door for you to be part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of renal medical team, allied health team, renal nurses, transplant nurses, vascular access nurses and renal patients. Furthermore, our unit supports a post graduate Renal Course program in affiliation with the Australian Catholic University. Our dialysis nurses also have opportunities to develop themselves professionally by attending national and international conferences.


Monday to Sunday, all shifts as rostered 0700 - 1530, 1230 – 2100.


About You


You are a genuinely passionate and caring person who is highly committed to delivering exceptional care within a fast-paced & dynamic environment. Renal dialysis is your expertise and you are looking to pursue a career path in this specialty. We look to you for sound knowledge in renal dialysis nursing and having interpersonal skills that make you a clear communicator and influencer, while having the ability to build rapport with others.


You will:



  • Have current AHPRA registration

  • Clinical skills and recent experience in Haemodialysis or Renal Nursing is desirable, however training would be given to the successful applicant if required.

  • Member of professional association desirable

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills

  • Adaptable and ability to think laterally

  • Ability to work within a team environment

  • Flexibility

  • Demonstrate ongoing clinical education relevant to area of practice

  • A strong interest in Haemodialysis and Renal Nursing.
