Role description

The Registered Nurse demonstrates competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia RN standards for practice, education preparation, relevant legislative standards and codes in the context of care. The RN is required to work within scope of practice as a productive member of an interdisciplinary team to provide person centred care. It is expected the RN will demonstrate a comprehensive level of assessment; care planning, practice and evaluation in the provision of care to clients and their significant others. The RN practices independently and interdependently assuming accountability and responsibility for their own actions.  Supervision and delegation provided by the RN takes into consideration the education and training of enrolled nurses and health care workers and the context of care.

As a Registered Nurse team member, you will:

  • Be a great communicator and enjoy contributing to a multidisciplinary health care team to ensure the highest quality of care for the local community
  • Have current NMBA registration and Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent. If you have other relevant post graduate qualifications or experience, tell us more!
  • Be flexible to work across both Castlemaine and Maldon campuses
  • Available to work across a variety of days and shifts to support the nursing team across the organisation
