About the role

Our Edenhope campus is seeking motivated, and dynamic are Registered Nurse for our Aged Care facility, Full time, Part time and Casual opportunities available.

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care for patients within the scope of practice. This position will provide care to all patients across all settings within EDMH, whilst achieving and maintaining high standards of care and service, reliability, and safety, upholding and fulfilling the organisation’s vision, mission and value

The successful applicants must have the availability to work across all shifts including AM, PM and night duties covering 24/7 rotating roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evidence-based nursing care to patients including assessment, intervention and evaluation.
• Undertakes clinical shifts at the direction of senior staff and the Director of Nursing.
• Participates in ward rounds/case reviews/clinical meetings.
• Educates patients/carers in post discharge management and organises discharge summaries/referrals to other services.

Skills and experience

• Registration with AHPRA.
• Clinical knowledge and experience in the delivery of evidenced based nursing care.
• Competence in planning, coordination and decision making within the relevant practice setting.
• Ability to function within team.
• Will be excellent communicators with a sound understanding/knowledge of ACFI, Aged Care Standards and Quality outcomes.

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024. The classification is Midwife (YS2-YS8) which ranges from $36.10 - $48.26 per hour.

All appointments are subject to a satisfactory police records check, immunisation clearance and Working with Children check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check.

All employees must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required, which at a minimum is a surgical mask.  Additional PPE requirements are role-dependent.
