About the facility


Barwon Health Renal Services provides care & support for patients with kidney disease. The service comprises a large renal out-patient consulting & education facility attached to a home dialysis training unit. An acute 8-station haemodialysis (HD) unit is located at the University Hospital Geelong and closely supports five satellite haemodialysis units including a large 12-station satellite HD unit at Barwon Health North.


About the role


A position exists for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse (Grade 2) with recent acute nursing experience to take on a temporary part-time position working within the haemodialysis service at Barwon Health. In this role, you will work as an active part of a health care team that shows leadership and embraces change in the coordination and delivery of care, ensuring appropriate referral to, and in consultation with, other relevant health professionals, and service providers, as appropriate.


This role involves shift rotation (mornings and afternoons), with the ability to work 3 Saturdays within a 6-week roster cycle. It is based on 40 hr/ftn (5x8hr shifts/ fortnight).


Recent haemodialysis experience is desirable for this position. However, training will be provided for suitable applicants without dialysis experience.
