The Position

Title: Registered Nurse

Department: Medical Ward and High Dependency Unit

Classification: Nurses & Midwives EA, Grade 2, YP3 – YP9

Hours per fortnight: 320

Applications are sought from suitably qualified Registered Nurses to work in the Medical HDU ward, at Echuca Regional Health.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide safe and comprehensive patient focused nursing care
  • Conduct patient assessment and plan care relevant to disease and treatment
  • Provide education and advice to patients and carer’s on treatments and symptom management
  • Assist in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures

Our team requires someone who has:

  • Proven experience working in Acute and/or Critical Care nursing
  • Advanced clinical assessment skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skill
  • High level interpersonal skills
  • Post graduate qualifications preferred (or an interest in obtaining post graduate qualifications)

This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment.  In addition, this position requires evidence of vaccination status for COVID-19.
