About the role
Eastern Health is offering you the opportunity to undertake a 12-month Transition to Speciality Practice Program. This program is intended to provide a supported pathway for experienced registered nurses wishing to pursue a career in Mental Health.
This structured program incorporates both theoretical elements in addition to practical experience with allocated study days, learning packages and clinical assessments. During the course, participants will be supported by experts within the clinical facility and the clinical education staff of the Learning and Teaching Directorate.
The program provides a career pathway for those Registered Nurses seeking to work in the mental health specialty environment whilst enhancing their critical thinking, theoretical knowledge and clinical skills and is a great stepping stone to Post Graduate studies.
Eastern Health is offering opportunities to complete rotations in Acute & Community Mental Health clinical areas including Adult Acute Inpatient Unit, Adolescent Inpatient Unit, Community Care Unit and with the Older Persons Mental Health Community Team (APAT).
