About the role

Opportunities are available at our Special Care Nurseries at Angliss and Box Hill Hospitals. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated nurses and midwives to join our team.

Angliss Hospital has an 8 cot nursery. We are a level 3 unit providing excellent care for 34-week gestation (inborns) and ongoing care for babies 32 weeks and above from other external services. Our capability enables the delivery of Non Invasive Ventilation therapies including Bubble CPAP & High Flow. We have a particular interest in providing exceptional Developmental Care in conjunction with a dynamic allied health team. We are looking forward to growing our service within the newborn HITH and Home Enteral Nutrition program.

Box Hill Hospital is a 12 bed unit that currently provides a level four high dependency neonatal service. We are working towards becoming a level five neonatal service. With support from our multi-skilled team you will be able to utilise your clinical knowledge and experience to provide specialised, family centred nursery care to babies (from 32 weeks’ gestation) with a range of clinical conditions (including Bubble CPAP and High flow).

About you 

You are dedicated, empathetic and adaptable. You understand, and are interested in, the complex and varied presentations cared for in the SCN. To be successful in this role you should possess:

  • Experience in level 3-4 SCN or NICU.
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication, organisational & technical skills
  • Current Working with Children’s
