  • Imaging Services are searching for a Registered Nurse Grade 2 to join the team!

  • Fixed Term Full Time covering a Maternity Leave for 12 months

  • Based in The Royal Melbourne Hospital – City Campus

Your new team

  •  The Radiology Department at The Royal Melbourne Hospital is a comprehensive tertiary referral service provided by Radiologists with subspecialty expertise

  • The full range of diagnostic and interventional services is provided for inpatients and outpatients using state-of-the-art equipment

  • Diagnostic services include plain film radiography, mammography, colour Doppler ultrasound, CT, angiography and MRI. Interventional procedures provided include all vascular, neurointerventional, gastrointestinal, biliary and urological interventions as well as therapeutic embolisations and image guided biopsies 

  • We are a team that are passionate about caring for our patients providing innovative services and cutting edge research

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Provide high quality standards of patient care. This includes the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team

  • Recognise the Registered Nurse (Division 1) responsibilities for delegation of nursing care

  • Assume responsibility and accountability for any delegated activities to an Enrolled Nurse. The Registered Nurse will also demonstrate an understanding of the Scope of Practice of the Enrolled Nurse when delegating and allocating nursing activities

  • Contribute to the development of all staff including new and casual staff to the area

  • Accept accountability for own actions and seek guidance if situations exceed the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse

Your Contribution

  • A minimum of two years current acute clinical experience

  • Excellent clinical knowledge

  • High quality patient care

  • An interest in procedural based nursing

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Multidisciplinary team collaboration
