Working in Healthcare has never been more important or meaningful

Our Journey:

North 3 is a 28 bed Acute Surgical Ward specialising in Colorectal and Gastroenterology. We have a dedicated multidisciplinary team who work closely together to ensure that we achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients and families/carers

A Day in the Life:

We are proud of the culture we have built in our ward, where the continued support our team provide each means we are consistently able to deliver high standards of care to all of our patients.  We are a highly acute ward, looking after some very medically unwell patients, with the support and education our nurses receive, they are always furthering and developing their clinical skills and judgement.  This really is a role where you will be able to challenge yourself, and see the rewarding outcomes both for you and your patients.

  • Your day will be busy caring for our surgical and colorectal and gastroenterology patients, any who are acutely unwell
  • You will be working amongst our highly experienced team, allowing for your mentoring and ongoing upskilling, and the development of your clinical skills
  • You will be part of a fantastic team, who work together to deliver outstanding care for our patients

What You Bring:

You will have sound clinical judgement, gained form your time in an acute nursing setting, and you will be passionate about providing the highest level of care to your patients.  Colorectal and/or Gastroenterology experience is fantastic, but we are confident our highly skilled team can support you to succeed without it.

  • You are confident in your assessment abilities, and can recognise and act when you notice patient deterioration
  • You are excited to extend your clinical skills through exposure to patients with varying presentations, and varying complexities
  • A positive attitude and an enjoyment of working in a close and supportive team

On a Personal Level, you:

You are a nurse who is passionate about what you do, and this will be evident in the way you approach your patients and their care.  You enjoy learning and are committed to continuing growth and development in your nursing journey.

What you need:

To be considered for these roles you will need to have previously worked in an acute setting and gained a good understanding of what is involved in caring for acutely unwell patients.  You will also need:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience in an acute setting, bonus if you have Colorectal and/or Gastroenterology experience
  • A positive can do attitude!

In Return

We have a wealth of experience on our ward and we pride ourselves on the upskilling and development opportunities this allows us to provide our team.

  • Our team are all supportive of each other and we have a leadership team whose door is always open
  • Ongoing commitment to growing your career
  • You will work with a team who constantly strive to provide outstanding patient centred care every day
