About Ward 5A Haematology Unit

Ward 5A Haematology unit – is a 32 bed unit and is part of one of the largest haematology services in Victoria. Our patient specialties include Myeloma, Lymphoma, Stem Cell Therapies and Breast Oncology.  Working in a patient focussed and collegiate environment, the Ward 5A team will support you to grow as a specialised haematology nurse responsible for comprehensive patient assessment and the delivery of complex cancer care.

Successful applicants will also have the opportunity to apply for postgraduate study in cancer nursing and be part of a rotational program with The Royal Melbourne Hospital.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Haematology and/or medical oncology experience (preferable)

  • Commitment to further their education in Haematology/Medical Oncology nursing

  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and initiative
