About the role
The Prevention and recovery care Unit is a step up step down facility where consumers can receive mental health treatment in a supportive environment. The RPN2 role will support consumers through mental health difficulties as the recover in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional mental health support and treatment for consumers
  • Provide evidence-based treatment options to support consumers and families
  • Implement approaches to mental health treatment and evaluate progress
  • Support quality improvement initiatives 

Skills and experience

  • Experience in mental health nursing 
  • Knowledge of mental health assessment and treatment modalities
  • Ability to acknowledge and engage the strength of consumers who are seeking support

This position is paid in accordance with the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement. The classification is Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 2 (NP21 - NP26) which ranges from $36.10 - $46.38 per hour

All appointments are subject to a satisfactory police records check, immunisation clearance and Working with Children check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check.

All employees must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required, which at a minimum is a surgical mask.  Additional PPE requirements are role-dependent.
