Registered Psychiatric Nurse - Macalister

Based in Gippsland, Latrobe Regional Health are looking for a Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our Macalister team on a part time, ongoing basis.

The Macalister Unit is for people over the age of 65 with mental health or behavioural issues. The unit has 10 acute assessment beds and 10 nursing home beds for people with complex needs.

The Registered Psychiatric Nurseis responsible for providing high quality, safe clinical services in the Unit and ensuring the achievement of quality patient outcomes are in line with LRH clinical and customer service standards.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Registered Nurse Division 1* or 3, with current AHPRA registration
  • Evidence of recent clinical experience
  • Experience in Mental Health field
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to mental health clients
  • Adherence to safe practice standards and policies
  • Sound knowledge of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 and other relevant legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external services
  • Working knowledge of NSQHS and National Standards for Mental Health Services
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
