About the opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Health & Safety, Stations, the role of Safety Manager, Stations, will be a key leader within the SRLA safety matrix team by providing highly influential expert safety advice to both internal staff and contractors in accordance with the broader SRLA’s ‘Active Client’ Model for safety. A key focus of this role is on undertaking safety assurance of operational activities for the Stations work package(s) throughout the lifecycle of a project to verify compliance with legislative, contractual requirements and best practice.
You will be responsible for ensuring a robust and coordinated approach to health and safety management assurance through the effective implementation of SRLA’s health and safety management systems, strategies, and initiatives across SRLA Stations work package(s) working closely with contractors, staff, key operational and functional matrix leaders to achieve safer outcomes for our people, our projects and the broader industry.
Additionally, you will be required to have extensive expertise and knowledge on safety subject matter, with a proven ability to communicate and influence at all levels across a myriad of stakeholders, both internal and external.
