Role

Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Assist with data collection where required
  • Organise network accounts for new / returning staff including CRT's
  • Assist staff and students with network issues, computer hardware and software issues
  • Assist with management of network printing accounts
  • Log service calls
  • Monitor online helpdesk and allocate jobs
  • Carry out duties related to the notebook program
  • Monitor physical help desk:
    • Apple devices and trolleys. Carry out updates and software installs on a needs basis
    • Hardware repairs
    • Imaging and re-imaging of student and staff computers during the year
    • Manage software issues
    • Maintain online databases
  • Other duties as directed by the Principal

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Setting up accounts for new users
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Testing new technology
  • Provide first line support for any information technology issues and problems
  • Provide assistance by phone, email and/or using a ticket management system.
  • Liaise with vendors pertaining to repairs of computers
  • Address and resolve basic incidents and requests; logging all incidents and requests
  • Create a positive customer support experience, ensuring timely resolution or escalation, communicating promptly on progress and handling customers with a consummately professional attitude
  • Work collaboratively with the IT team and perform other duties as requested by the Principal Team

Platform competencies:

  •  Liase with 3rd party software vendors as required in particular  Xuno

Required:

Windows 10

Windows Server 2012 – 2019

Knowledge of Cases 21, Microsoft Teams, Xuno, Apple School Manager, webex and integration of  these as well as Apple products.
