Senior Advisor (PMO)

• Annual Salary Range: VPS5 $103,920– $125,735 per annum excluding superannuation

 About the Opportunity

The Senior Advisor will provide authoritative, articulate, and strategic advice on investment strategy to Ministers and the DoT executives, to support decision-making on DoT's budget funding priorities and options. You will work with stakeholders across the Department to understand short-medium term priorities for funding through the State budget, provide constructive advice on the timing, sequencing and packaging of investment decisions, and develop strategies for resolving funding risks and issues

 About You

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following key skills:

• Provide authoritative, articulate and strategic investment advice to relevant Ministers, the Secretary and senior DoT executives on short to medium term budget and investment strategy
• Provide credible and objective guidance on contentious issues, and negotiate agreed pathways to facilitate the production of robust and widely supported investment advice
• Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders within DoT and its portfolio agencies
• Prepare timely, accurate and high-quality reports, briefings, and presentations for senior stakeholders
• Contribute to teams undertaking initiatives or coordinating processes as part of the broader work of the Branch or the Group
