The Senior Advisor, Response and Resolution Pathways plays a pivotal role in realising DELWP's commitment to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace. A skilled mediator, facilitator, and coach, with an in-depth understanding of DELWP's employment, equal opportunity and occupational health and safety obligations, this role provides expert advice and support to employees who have experienced inappropriate behaviour at work. This includes assisting them to resolve the matter proactively or triaging the matter for other resolution options, including investigation.

Through analysing data and exploring trends and issues across DELWP, this role also works closely with the Workplace Relations and Investigations, Diversity and Inclusion and Safety and Wellbeing teams, employees and managers, on prevention and early resolution strategies. At its core, this role ensures employees are heard and their concerns addressed in the most effective, productive, safe, and respectful way possible.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications


  • Demonstrated experience in effectively resolving interpersonal conflict


  • In-depth understanding and significant experience in the application of industrial, equal opportunity and occupational health and safety legislation and regulation and the principles of procedural fairness


  • Skilled and experienced mediator, facilitator and/or coach


  • Experience applying a trauma-informed approach to staff who have experienced sexual harassment and other forms of inappropriate behaviour 

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 3 years.
