About us

The Road Safety Camera Program Unit within the Police, Fines and Crime Prevention division is responsible for the management of day-to-day operations of the Fixed Road Safety Camera System network, including monitoring of the camera systems' operational status, ensuring compliance of systems with departmental standards and management of camera contractors, testing and maintenance.

About the role

As the Senior Analyst (Security), you will provide leadership, education, and guidance to support project managers in the systems security and management of capital projects relating to critical information systems and network security.

As an integral member of the Projects Team, in this role, you will:

  • champion the development of project-related security standards relating to technology, information systems security requirements, security change management, and quality assurance of the implementation of critical information systems throughout the procurement and delivery cycle, as well as plan and review processes leading to project team and end-user endorsement
  • be responsible for ensuring adherence to Victorian Government guidelines relating to Public Sector Data and Victorian Protective Data Security Framework
  • develop, deliver and manage the development approaches to security and the education of the broader business unit in relation to data and software security matters including risk assessments, compliance, risk assurance, quality assurance, configuration management, and project-related deliverables to project staff, key stakeholders, or senior management for endorsement
  • act as a liaison among the various stakeholders and understanding structure, policies, and operations of the organisation, and recommends solutions that enable the organisation to achieve its goals.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • a demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of security analysis, design and quality assurance of work packages in an outsourced customised software development and IT infrastructure-based projects in a Government environment
  • a proven ability to manage change, process and policy improvement and operational workflows, as well as skilful in working in a technical and outsourced environment, working with a variety of stakeholder groups and third-party providers
  • excellent consultancy and written communication skills, with the ability work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to build a productive and positive culture.
