About Us
Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

About the Role
The Senior Category Manager (Technology) provides expert advice and specialist support across CSV to ensure consistency in approach in all procurement activities related to technology services and solutions. The provision of advice may also include, but is not limited to, the management of the sourcing process including responsibilities such as the development of tender and contract documentation, specifications, evaluation plans and coordination of the evaluation process.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the end-to-end category management activities across technology services and solutions
- Developing procurement category strategies for technology and undertaking appropriate sourcing activities which generate operational efficiencies, and achieving financial savings targets through market insight and category spend analysis
- Using influencing and negotiation skills to effectively address stakeholder requirements
- Interpreting and translating organisational strategy into meaningful plans and objectives including contributing to the ongoing evolution of commercial management practices in CSV
About You
To be successful in this role you will:
- be a recognised procurement professional with expert knowledge in undertaking sourcing events for strategic technology engagements, including leading complex negotiations to drive effective procurement outcomes
- be an expert category manager with demonstrated experience of developing and implementing category strategies, and a demonstrable knowledge of contemporary pricing, commercial structures and associated contract terms with particular expertise broadly across technology services and solutions.
-have strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to credibly engage and influence across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and build collaborative and effective relationships
