About the Role


The Aged and Community Care Program consists of a multi-disciplinary team (approximately 35EFT) providing an interdisciplinary service to support frail older people, younger people with disabilities and their carers.


The Grade 3 Senior Occupational therapist is responsible for working within the Occupational Therapy team and leading delegated responsibilities to provide best practice patient care, achieve maximal operational effectiveness, develop organisational competencies, and create strong partnerships within and outside Monash Health.  They hold specialist clinical knowledge in the field of Occupational Therapy.


Senior Clinician Occupational Therapist is a core part of the Aged and Community Care leadership team along with the Team leader as well as integral part of the multidisciplinary team. The key responsibilities also include leading and participating in teaching and supervision of students, mentoring and/or supervision of staff, research and quality clinical project activities and administrative responsibilities and portfolios as delegated.


This position is based within the Casey Cardinia Aged and Community Care Team however travel to and work at any of the Monash Health sites will be required.  The incumbent will be required to work in any clinical area at any or all campuses of Monash Health as and when required. Such a requirement may be a temporary arrangement, on an ad hoc basis, or a permanent change.


This position is based at Cranbourne but may be required to work at any of the Monash Health sites.
