The North East Link Project will deliver the missing link in Melbourne's road network that will finally complete the Metropolitan Ring Road by connecting the M80 to the Eastern Freeway to improve outer north-south links for road freight movement and improve travel time and reliability.

About North East Link

The North East Link Project (NELP) will connect the missing link in Melbourne's freeway network, while increasing the capacity of the Eastern Freeway. It will slash travel times, get trucks off local roads and link key growth areas in the north and south-east.

About the Opportunity

Be part of a transformative infrastructure project for Victoria, with an exciting role in the North East Link Project's Communications & Stakeholder Relations team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Community Relations as our Communications and Stakeholder Relations Advisor, Customer Engagement, you will be inspired to lead a team of customer specialists to achieve positive outcomes for those interested in – and impacted by – the North East Link Project.

Setting a positive atmosphere and team-based approach, you will also be motivated to manage the operations of NELP's community information hub and site offices. Our Communications & Stakeholder Relations team are always seeking fresh and new ways to increase engagement outcomes, so your approach and ideas will be embedded in a role where they can flourish!

This position will also satisfy your analytical and organisational capabilities, as you will be the key liaison for NELP's 24-hour contact centre and be accountable for auditing & reporting on customer service performance, data, analytics and public correspondence.

This position would suit a professional who lives in the northern or eastern suburbs of Melbourne, as travel and time spent at NELP's Watsonia Hub and Bulleen office will be a main requirement of this position.

About You:

You are:

  • A communications and stakeholder relations specialist, who thrives being close to the customer and promoting a true sense of engagement with the community
  • A true leader with proven experience in managing the development and performance of others
  • Well versed in working in an O365 environment, with advanced competencies in Consultation Manager (or a similar)
