Senior Mental Health Clinician - 26+ Years

Latrobe Regional Health are looking for a Senior Mental Health Clinician - 26+ to join our Orbost Clinic on a full time, fixed term basis until December 2024.

Reporting clinically to the 26+ Clinical Lead and operationally to the Bairnsdale Team Manager, the Senior Mental Health Clinician plays an important role in supporting persons within the Orbost area.

As a Senior Mental Health Clinician you will:

  • Provides leadership, direction and support to the multi-disciplinary team staff undertaking the specialist mental health care role
  • Support the daily operational activities of the team
  • Provides a range of integrated community based clinical skills
  • Undertake a full range of clinical duties including the provision of recovery orientated, undertaking comprehensive assessments, care coordination, evidence-based treatment, psycho-education and consumer and family collaboration

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A qualification in either Nursing (with post grad qualification in Mental Health), Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Psychology, holding current relevant registration
  • Demonstrated experience working in the Mental Health Service System
  • A client focused approach to their work
  • Ability to undertake a full range of clinical duties including clinical assessment, providing evidence based treatments and support to consumer and their families/carers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working with individuals who experience poor mental health 
  • Current drivers licence
